John Denham is to visit the new Post Office in WH Smith, Southampton.  The new Post Office has attracted criticism from some people with mobility problems because it is situated on the first floor and has to be reached by either a lift or stairs.

John Denham said “I know that some people are not happy that the Post Office has moved to WH Smith, although the move does keep a Post Office in the City Centre and is closer to the major shops of Above Bar and West Quay.  I’m going to visit the Post Office with Chris Perry from Age Concern, Hampshire to see for myself.”
